YOU HAVE A CHOICE!

Tuesday, January 24th, 2006

The Workers’ Party manifesto is currently under heavy attack by the PAP. The PAP ministers has called it "dangerous", "time bomb" and all sorts of thing. I don’t understand why all this big "hoo-haa"! For goodness sake, why are the PAP behaving in such a childish and ridiculous manner? What are they really afraid of? This is our manifesto and we will stand by it. The PAP have no right to tell us to amend/change the manifesto! Who the hell they think they are? God? Our parents? Our nanny’s?CAn go to hell with the PAP! Singapore is suppose to be a "DEMOCRATIC" country. In a democratic country or society, people have the rights to choose to do things their own way. So if you think there’s something wrong with our manifesto, then you can choose to ignore it and not vote for WP. That’s your right and personal choice, isn’t it? Why don’t the PAP come up with their own manifesto and then go and tell the whole universe how "PERFECT" their manifesto is. That only their manifesto is good for the people? What i’m trying to say here is that the Workers’ Party is working for the benefits of the common people and as a society as a whole. A lot of thoughts and efforts had been put in to come up with the manifesto. For the PAP to accuse us of wanting to break up racial harmony or the basic foundation of this belove nation is a total insult! The PAP have totally no respect! They think that since they are in power, they can say or do whatever they want. They are too proud of themselves and arrogant. But do not forget, Singaporeans are no fools! We have our own brains to think! I think this is a tragic incident. Look at what happen when they are in power for too long and there’s no balance of power in parliament. CAn you just imagine, we only have 2 Opposition MP’s compared to the 80+ stooges in parliament? As the General Election is coming near, i hope that people will wake up and realise the truth! Forget about all those material wealth or money being thrown at you by the government. You must realise that the time has come for a change, that you DO have a choice and that power is in YOUR hand! Do make the right decision, for the future of Singapore, our children and the next generation. YOU HAVE A CHOICE!

GE COMING…

Friday, January 20th, 2006

AS everyone knows, Singapore’s General Election is coming soon. PAP Town Councils have already start throwing in money as they promise major upgrading or renovations to beautify their estates… So as a thinking resident, i ask myself, does that means the PAP Government will only spent money when elections are near? That means only once every 5 years? What about the other 4 years? Isn’t that being irresponsible? And as budget day is coming soon next month, expect to hear more "goodies" from the government. They will throw money at your face to ensure that they will win votes and win comfortably. They will promise you all those wonderful things and stuffs you like to hear but at the end of the day, you should stop and ask yourself, Is it all worth it? Singapore cost of living is very high and does the government do anything to lower it down such as lowering or abolishing together the taxes on our basic neccessities like food and water? What about our poorer and needy neighbours, are they getting the appropriate help from the government or do they still have to go begging around or have to survive only on one meal per day? We as Singaporeans, should wake up and realise that things are not rosy as the government want it to be. Yes, our economies might be doing very well but our cost of living is still very high! What is the government doing with our extremely high reserves when there are still a lot of poor and needy people out there? Singapore proclaims proudly to be a "DEMOCRATIC" country but the people still can’t have the freedom to express themselves! Isn’t that ironic? Take for example, the case of the white elephants in relation to the opening of the Buangkok MRT. Does it have to be a police case and be investigated? In fact, it just make the police and government look just like PATHETIC FOOLS!!! Putting up the white elephant posters is harmless and in fact i find it quite cute and genious thing to do but then some idiot try to make an issue out of it. Just show that our government does not have sense of humour coz they GOT NO LIFE!!! Shouldn’t the police be a thinking force and use their resources appropriately other than investigating white elephants? The next example was regarding a demonstration by 2 or 3 innocent women against the Iraq war outside the US embassy not long ago. They are just carrying posters, protesting against the illegal war which is not supported by the United Nation and yet, Singapore still supports the US, and again police came in and detain them for a few hours for questioning. The question now we should be asking ourselves as Singaporeans is, what is happening to the state of Democracy in Singapore? We should start asking ourselves now and comes GE, we should know what to do with our votes cause THE POWER IS IN YOUR HAND!!!

WP, The Alternative Government

Saturday, January 14th, 2006

Saturday, 14th January 2006, The Workers’ Party launch its election manifesto. As a member of the party, i feel very proud and all ready to go into battle in this coming general election. The party has already confirm its position to contest in the Ang Mo Kio, Sembawang, East Coast and Aljunied GRC and also 3 single seats constituencies. Currently, i’m helping out with one of the candidate for Aljunied GRC, Mr Goh Meng Seng. Personally i feel that WP has a very good chance of wrestling the Aljunied GRC from the incumbent and at the same time retaining its Hougang seat. And of course, as a resident of Sembawang GRC, i hope that my fellow friends and neighbours in the GRC will vote the party in. I did not deny the fact that the Current incumbent led by our former DPM, Dr Tony Tan, had done a good job in maintaining the wards in the GRC. I had seen a lot of improvements and upgrading done and my precinct will be going for the MUP this coming June but this shall not be the reason for people to vote for the PAP. Its time that more opposition members are voted into parliament so that there will be more quality debates. People shall not fear in voting for the Opposition cause at the end of the day, its the people themselves who will enjoy the benefits of having the opposition in parliament. The party shall set its sight  to be the Alternative Govertment to the PAP. I hope that people will wake up and realise that we are a serious opposition party and realise that the power is in their hand and that they DO have a choice. My fellow comrades and myself in the Workers’ Party will fight till the last breath in this coming General Election and hope taht more peple will come forward and also to rally behind us in becoming the Alternative Government! POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!

RELATIONSHIP

Friday, January 13th, 2006

Relationships… It can either bring joy to you or it can be a disaster for you! That’s what i feels. Referring to BGR relationship, i feel that all those couples wannabe out there should at least know and understand the basic concepts in forming up a relationship. What i meant to say is that if you are serious enough to form up a relationship with someone whom you feels you really love and treasure, you have to ask yourself first whether are you really prepared for it. in forming up a relationship, you need to have TRUST, HONESTY, UNDERSTANDING, COMMITMENt and ect. If you dont have this few things, then you can forget about it. From my observation of couples nowadays, i do feel that some of them should put their partners in prison instead because in a prison, you will be supervise and observe 24/7! Whatever you do, your partner will know and vice-versa! Why do i say this? Its because that i find it really ridiculous to see couples arguing and quarelling over such little matters as in not telling one partner of your whereabouts or whom you are going out with. Some are even worse, their movements and their social life has been restricted due to the jealousy of their partners! To all this people, i would just say get a life! You are not even engage or married to your partner and yet you wanna be a control freak! So, do think about what i just say ok…
