Thank You To The 66.6% Voters!

Monday, July 24th, 2006

History repeats itself again. After winning the General Election 2006, gaining 66.6% of the valid votes, you see that the cost of living for Singaporeans is increasing again. The latest news is that the cost of bus and MRT fares will rise up again in the next month or two. And who do we have to thanks this for? Of course, its all those 66.6% of the people who had voted for the PAY AND PAY. I believe that this lot of people have no rights to complain or get frustrated and so on because this is of their own doing. For them, they truly deserve it. Looking back at the past, you can see that once the PAY AND PAY wins the election, they start increasing the cost of living  For example, GST, Transportation fares and so on and now, they are starting to do it again. What a " World Class government with a Caring and Compassionate Heart!!!" What about the rest of us? How are we going to cope with this increase when our own pay pocket does not see any increases at all? How about those who have to work long hours or need to work two to three jobs at a time so that they can provide for the family and give them a decent living? How about our senior citizens? Are they able to cope with this increases or do they still have to go out to work when at their age, they should be enjoying their retirement years comfortably! I hope those 66.6% will wise up. Its time for Singaporeans to stand up as one united people to oppose this increases! We are not earning PEANUTS!!! To the 66.6% voters, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

That Call From HSA…

Thursday, July 20th, 2006

Today while working, i receive a call from the Health Sciences Authority(HSA). I turned a bit kancheong when the caller from HSA introduce herself and tell me to remain calm and not to panick. Ya right! How not to panick when you receive a call from them? So i try my very best to remain calm and listen to what she have to say. As i have been a regular blood donor since all the way back from 2001, this is the first time time i’ve receive such a call from them. So of course i expect some negative news from them and indeed, its negative. Sensing my nervousness, the caller tells me to remain calm again and not to be alarm with what she’s gonna tell.(Ya RIGHT!!!) So i just tell her, "So tell me, i’m listening," and she began to tell me about the donation i made on the 5th of July and the procedures that i have to go through during that one and a half hour( i make asphyrasis donation). Finally she told me that after their lab test of my blood, the result was that my blood was lacking in something( she use some cheemology words which i don’t understand). She then advice me to get a lot of rest or it would have some undesirable consequences to my body and to eat more of those protein stuff… I give a sigh of relief after hearing that, relief that its not that serious after all… pheww….
