YOU HAVE A CHOICE!

Hahaha… Feeling quite happy today at work despite the sleepiness and headache i’m having due to the lack of proper rest and sleep. But all that is lost when one of my customer nominates me for this year Tourism Award for excellent service in the Retail Industry. This will be my second year running for the award and i hope that i will be able to do better and achieve a better result as compared to last year. Expectations will be quite high but i believe this can be overcome easily through sincerity in providing a good or excellent service which will come naturally and sincerely from the heart….

No need all those governtment propagandas like GEMS or the 4 Million Smile Campaign which is just full of hypocricy or what i called as a WAYANG! All this propagandas is started by the governtment just because Singapore is hosting the IMF/World BAnk Meeting early this month…. So Is the governtment trying to tell the people to go GEMS or smile only during this period of time and once its all over, you can forget about GEMS and all those smiles? Even my company have been running courses which i have to attend just for this event and i’m wondering to myself, why all this wayang? For what purpose? Is there a need for all this? Are precious and limited resources being wasted?

Especially for those already in the retail industry or the service sector, we already know that once you are in the industry or looking to join in, you are expected to go all out to give good service and serve sincerely from the heart. What is the point of putting up a fake smile or serving unwillingly? Why make yourself suffer undergoing all the stress or being a hypocrite to yourself? We don’t need a propaganda campaign from the governtment to go GEMS or putting up all those fake smiles. Maybe what we need is an increment in our salary! YES! An INCREMENT in the salary. Hahaha…Jolly well, as you know, cost of living in Singapore is increasing and we retailers have to work long hours and standing the whole day… But no matter what, for me, with or without all this propagandas or wayang, i’ll still be serving sincerely from the bottom of my heart!!!
